So it's perceived effect on fare prices when they see what tube workers are paid that bothers people then?

    The Unions

Yes absolutely, or less. Why is that though? Is reducing wages in the developed world the answer? It's also not a direct comparison as a monetary figure is not an absolute measure of wealth or even purchasing power. It's dependent on other conditions of course, but yes it is a huge amount...

    The Unions

What's flippant? What is your basis for saying £40,000 'is a lot' of money? By what measure? Do you think it's too much? Compared to what, how much you or others might get paid? Why do you need to make this comparison? Out of a sense of 'fairness' perhaps? Or envy? Maybe you think the tube...

Pointless But It Makes Me Chuckle to Myself

So they are obliged to YOU personally to turn up to work and should be grateful for what they get for their time and effort because it's more than the pittance some others get? And they should keep quiet because even though they are in a position to make demands because they are relatively...

Pointless But It Makes Me Chuckle to Myself

It's not surprising that people can be really short sighted and self-centred but it's like there's some Stockholm syndrome shit going on.

Pointless But It Makes Me Chuckle to Myself

Oh yes and people working hard at tedious jobs should obviously be paid fuck all anyway cos there's no 'skill' involved.

Pointless But It Makes Me Chuckle to Myself

Jebus man, I guess you're trolling. Yes, everyone should stop standing up for rights / making demands of employers because there's always someone worse off or who gets paid less? I'd say it's always good for anyone who isn't a super rich cunt, even if you think the ostensible issues are...

In Germany do you get the Nutella that's half white and half milk chocolate? That's big in the rest of Europe but you don't see it much in the UK. Americans have a funny relationship with chocolate anyway don't they?

Pitiless police persecute Plastic People. Punters pissed.

Sounds almost as if they're saying to the council 'if that's how you want it then this is what you get', but it's the punters that take the brunt.

    PC Speakers

I'd look into getting some powered monitors if you actually want nice sound. Might have to spend a bit more but they'll stand you in good stead. Maybe something like these - http://www.dv247.com/studio-equipment/edirol-ma-15d-digital-stereo-micro-active-monitors--27074 I've got some Yamaha...

    Big Beat!

I got into Brighton later that evening when it was over and there was VOMIT everywhere. I mean far more than a typical weekend in Brighton. Also rather hazardous at the train station - had to do some walking across tracks and climbing just to get out.

    Fav electronic label?

No-one mention Rising High? Maybe not fave, and obv. not current, but laudable for stuff like Bedouin Ascent (love the first one), Earth Leakage Trip (likewise), Irresistible Force (Underground EP), Balil - Parasight (!), early Wagon Christ / Plug stuff, Rainbows In The Sky and quite a bit more.
