    Milk

I can't stand any milk products except cheese. I used to consume milk mostly with cereal until a few years ago I just couldn't take it anymore. I don't know what it is. Something in my head just finds it repulsive. I love cheese.

    bloody miserable

I think a good way to keep from being miserable is setting goals for yourself. I am not talking grand life plans just little things. Like today I will cook dinner, tomorrow I will bike to work, saturday I will go visit that book shop I've never been to. So you always have something to look...

    Drum/rhythm knowledge rolling thread

I thought syncopation is when you play notes just before or just after "the beat". Syncopation = swing

    Drum/rhythm knowledge rolling thread

Funky Drummers and Amen differ a bit in the details but the basic skeleton is practically identical. Almost all the breakbeats taken from funk have the kick on the first 1 beat, snare on 2 and 4 structure. So they are all more or less the same (family of) rhythm. The dancehall/soca beat of...

    Drum/rhythm knowledge rolling thread

There's nothing special about the Amen though. It's pretty much the same rhythm as "Funky Drummer" and a bunch of other funk beats. Kick on the 1, snare on the 2 and 4.

    Villalobos Fabric 36- Thoughts?

Do you think there's a difference between the audience for this music in Germany and in Britain or is it the same?

questions you are dying to ask but are too scared to b/c of music nerd cred?

Mentalism is just a descriptive term meaning "craziness".

    Villalobos Fabric 36- Thoughts?

Don't ruin my fantasy! See, I've never been to Ibiza, Berlin or even Europe really. So this music functions as an integral part of a fantasy of glamorous, sophisticated people doing things I can barely imagine in surreal environments like abandoned power stations etc. Philip Sherburne's...

    Villalobos Fabric 36- Thoughts?

Minimal is the soundtrack to hedonism. That's a great purpose. It lets us play out fantasies of people having 1000 times more fun than us, doing depraved things.
