I've seen Diplo do sets where he was juggling reasonably obscure world beat tunes (kurudo, latin rap, funk carioca, bhangra) mixed with us dirty club and bass (chicago, detroit, bmore, miami) and sets where he played electro, maybe some techno? and mashups. The former was exciting and fun...

I love the slow motion soundz/prg stuff. Really, I think it's a much better legacy to the Houston sound then the northside boys who are making it mainstream nowadays. Using that 90s sound and new agey choir samples just right just makes the tracks sound so lush and let's the MCs just drip...

Nice that there's an LEGIT legal challenge against this now. Obviously I understand why the RIAA is doing this - the criminal justice system couldn't handle it - so hopefully they lose and the RIAA is finally forced into an underlying shift in its marketing model.
