I have to say I didn't like Asiatisch neither. I blame Kode9. Her other, earlier work is really good. I am also liking a lot the stuff she puts out with Nzuguzungu (more or less) as Future Brown.

Yes, having a beat certainly helps. I can imagine zoning out on the thread mill with Kevin Drum-like guitar drones, but something more upbeat would definitely help to keep pace. So, how to proceed? A thread in the mixes-section with some links? Or is there another way?

I didn't hear the Hyperdub album yet. Is it out already? I only heard her EP's. Desert Strike is really good. Sure, you can consider it dressed nice grime (good production, etc.) , but at the same time there is more to it. Dunno, it just works for me.
