Jam City, good. Hysterical pronunciations about the future of dance music, not so much. Watching the level of hype get thrown at first Joy Orbison, and then (admittedly to a lesser extent) Jam City it all seems a little.. preemptive?

Is 'Fish' the Ikonika-goes-Funky track with the mad 8-bit'ish melody? Think Mr. UFO might have closed his Fabric set with it on Friday. Either way it was def a new Ikonika track and amazing..

Suprised this has stayed off most people's radar's for so long - think it came out at the back end of last year though I'm guessing Made 2 Play isn't a label that many folk are checking. (also, it's great)

Not sure what happened to the MBV remasters but they got as far as promo'ing them - managed to blag the Loveless double CD one (workmate got Isn't Anything). Pretty sure both disc's of loveless have leaked to the usual channels by now, tho teh wisdom of listening to remasters as compressed mp3's...

Too much basically. I listen to stuff I want to hear all day every day at work so try and give myself breaks to recalibrate my ears, for want of a better word. Ditching the ipod on the way to/from work helped loads in this respect.

To be fair it's pretty hard naming stuff like this - Bass related vernacular is almost as abused as the funk/funky lexicon
