    Steve Bell - Guardian cartoonist

I think you miss the key point - he has evolved them as these characters over a great length of time. It isn't that prescott is a bulldog, bush a monkey etc (though the way he uses their character as animal is some of the appeal). More often it is the comment that he is trying to make through...

    Steve Bell - Guardian cartoonist

The main reason Bell is admired is for his main frame Editorial cartoons - these are generally cutting, incisive and amusing. The thing with "If..." is that he picks a more running political theme, or anything (when it went colour the penguins, who arrived from the Falklands war onward, were...

Dirty Canvas with The Essentials, Friday 17th February 2006

I reckon I may be this times random bloke in a suit. I would rather not be, but I have no real chance of doing Canary Wharf (and a beer or two), SW London, Aldgate. So, err, that'll be me in a pink striped shirt at a grime thing. Nice.

    OK time to fess up

Wicked Game. Is that meant to be guilty? jeez - you people are seriously hipster types if you are ashamed of stuff like that. Mind you, dissensus is full of this type of posing a lot of the time. Controversy that some people like Woebot whose eclecticism and opinion is lauded, actually says...

DUBSTEP- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

I think he is trying to say multi-cultural, in that using such sounds is trying to be clever. Should stick to car exhausts and gunshots, innit.

DUBSTEP- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

Well all your points seem to be about self ligitimisation at the expense of anyone else who is making dubstep by sweeping statements. If you look at the dubstep wars pictures, then try and apply your jurisdiction on culture and its use in music, you may notice you have pretty much ruled out all...

DUBSTEP- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

HellSD I think the only reason people are referencing D&B is that, through the dubplate method the scene is organically developing, there are a lot of comparisons. (an aside, not to yrself) People have their problems with it being organic growth (and it can be a bit annoying), but for what is...

    eBay "sniping"

Yes - with sniping it gravitates more towards a second price, sealed bid auction (the winner, in effect, pays the second highest bid, not their "bid" / maximum offer). There is a lot of theory on that, especially around the inflation of bids due to the drop to second price. With ebay, the...

    eBay "sniping"

Sniping is the most sensible way to buy. Why should I make my max bid your guidance price. It is an auction, such information has a value, so I don't want to give it away. I'm sure some economist will have had a look into the ebay method of auction, and can guarantee that there is a very...

    Oyster (for Londoners..)

I am not desputing he worked there. I am disputing that it means anything. He worked as a PA. He probably never was involved in Oyster, and probably knows very little about the CIA. It is just stupid conjecture to try and make anything out of this. Jeez - look at anyone's CV and you could...

    Oyster (for Londoners..)

In a chat about Oyster, someone raises it can track your journey. Someone else points out someone for TFL is ex-CIA. The whole suggestion is that there is something wholly unsavoury devised out of the scheme, which I would be confident there is not. I don't mind the odd conspiracy theory, but...

    Oyster (for Londoners..)

Bob Kiley's interests have been more surrounding the unviability of Public Private Partnerships for Rail and the Underground (mostly), based on his history of working on similar across the world. Any theory of his being involved in Oyster (and even better the CIA touches you can embelish) I...

Breezeblock Dubstep Warz on Radio 1

It goes out midnight to 2am on a Monday night in the UK, and the Breezeblock is typically pretty mediocre nowadays. I would expect most people were unaware and missed it. I would count myself amongst that number, though I would have been asleep by then anyway!
