    synth britannia - BBC4

Looking forward to this, just scanned through and saw Vince Clarke saying that Depeche Mode took their synths on the train to get to Top of the Pops, hahaha.

    synth britannia - BBC4

Yeah, I was watching the trailer a week or so back . The Martin Gore and Gary Numan quotes are gold. It looks ace. I'm hoping to get hold of it somehow.

    discogs.com help

It's good that they can be grouped now, pages like http://www.discogs.com/artist/Beatles,+The are big enough without listing all 48 versions of Sgt Peppers individually, like it did not long ago. Bahaha :D

    Notting Hill 09

I've only heard a few bits.. Toddla T sounded like the hype, lots of MCing, variety galore, tunes didn't play for long, everything got pulled up... huge. I tried to tune in online when at work but their stream was overloaded, dangit.

    Notting Hill 09

They're doing a live to air from Notting Hill to radio in NZ, what I've heard sounds pretty rad, I'm quite jealous.

    wonky

Definitely great. He played at our Christmas party last year and went all over the show there too... house, soul, hip-hop, whatever. A few sections were his own sound, and I guess the rest were his influences. I didn't notice any shonky mixes though, I thought he was rad.. he had some amazing...

Wbeeza sounds rad, no matter if it's not full of new ideas. My workmate bought a whitelabel of In The Morning for me.. stoked! I know we've gone on and on about this but it's just such a killer tune.

records that sound better at the wrong speed

Photek - Yendi. I can't even listen to it on 45, it just seems way too hyperactive: Adding another Autechre one to the mix, maybe I was drunk but I think their Gescom vs Ad Vanz split 12 on Fatcat sounded alright at 45?!

Bragging rights - heroic events of immense kudos achieved before you lost your edge

I walked past Bootsy Collins and Buckethead with my boss once. Me "Hey that was Bootsy Collins and Buckethead!" Boss "How do you know?" Me "Well... Buckethead had a bucket on his head, and Bootsy had a green sparkly jumpsuit and star glasses"

i try to play a range of music to my (currently preschool) kids and just know that no matter what kind of a good start i give them they're just gonna like tomorrow's emo / screamo / crabcore / whatever. it's my biggest fear  i've thought about going all reverse psychology on them but it's...

    Dubstep

We just had Kode 9 over for his first visit. He's just so good. Great to hear diversity: lots of big funky tracks (apple, that gabryelle tune), general synth madness, tech dubstep, and some jungle towards the end.

Just heard that Fuzzy Logic - In The Morning has been picked up by a major, does anyone know any more about that? At least when it comes out I should be able to find it on my side of the world :D

I was watching that Attack Attack! video again and thought the comment "CRABCORE" was genius and lo, there's an article in the guardian today joining the dots: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2009/jun/23/scene-and-heard-crabcore
