No, I don't have a problem with that. He doesn't change her or the basic plot there, just gives her a bit of action from other characters (such as Glorfindel) and imports back story with Aragorn from elsewhere.

Or to put it another way... Jackson and co basically fucked with Tolkien's characterization and plot by throwing in a load of melodramatic cliché. Rather than finding that gripping, thrilling and moving, I just thought "ffs" :rolleyes:
