rashad def. seems like the dude with the most crossover potential, i think he's older and his tracks are a lot cleaner production-wise than some of the kids' + i really like "hot n cold water" as well good to hear crowds are responsive

    Rolling dream-pop thread

i really like that piano magic track "no closure" from that world war i concept album, it sounds really lowland-stormy when he talks about "the forecourts of french libraries" and "planes/plains to japan"...i haven't heard the rest of the album but i guess it's one of the worst ones

    Cassablanca

    "R'n'B" recommendations PLEASE!?

i'm not a cassie superfan to ilx levels of devoted creepiness but i am definitely happy to hear some of these... http://musicmademelive.blogspot.com/2009/12/new-cassie-electro-love-tracks-leaked.html "i never knew" is definitely not holy shit avant garde! but it IS highly bubbly + infectious...

    Hip Hop 09?

^^^agreed and if his argument needed any further negating, the new gucci is uhh, awesome the trio of "all about the money", "lemonade" and "bingo"...highly recommended

    Hip Hop 09?

yeah it definitely has, but i think that track in particular transcends big ravey synth washes... bleepy and ominous it's on movie 3: the burrprint! which is one of his better ones this year...great brrritain i like as well

    Hip Hop 09?

i feel like his whole argument is negated by gucci mane, who is exactly what wayne was a couple of years ago and maybe someone like cam'ron or ghostface a couple of years before that...none of them really pushed for "sonic innovation" or whatever bullshit sr is looking for (he's the guy who...

    Sleeves of the Decade

this is definitely true i like the actress one though, because instead of crazy patterns/eyes/grids/whatever (giant pyramid as veiled reference to god) it's a sort of unpleasant rural house in b/w...maybe, "your all consuming rave-orb triangle is nothing but soulsucking plainness" like the...
