GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

Where can I get this set? Is it uploaded anywhere? Newham Generals sets are incredible, I've had the one from the 29th of April on constant play in my car. If anyone has that set and can tell me what the first two riddims on there I'd be incredibly appreciative. I can upload it again if you...

    plastician - beg to differ

'Percy' refers to your own stash, that's not for sale to anyone else. So yeah, personal fave. I always loved that 'cheese cake' that you get from Percy Ingle, which is puff pastry and strands of weird icing - never knew why it was called cheese cake though.

Have you ever heard something so good it made you cry?

Michael Rose - Born Free - Is just incredible Stevie Wonder - Golden Lady - The way the melody of the vocal in the chorus lilts around at the end of the line is the tearjerker for me. and rather perversely Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up - really loud in a car with a subwoofer.

    Top Buzz

Both Mikee B and Jason Kaye were involved in the ukgarage scene in the late 90s early 00s. Jason Kaye worked lots of people, most notably Steve Gurley and Sticky. Mikee B was/is part of The Dreem Teem, one of the most popular dj/producer teams in ukg at the time. I remember this remix of the...

Seefeel - will I like them?

The album called Polyfusia is really good, I think it's a collection of the singles and eps they released on the Too Pure label. I think i've got the one with the Aphex mixes on vinyl somewhere.

Help me ID this Ghanaian music

Sounds like a plan, I really want to get this track. The people on the Ghana Soundz room on slsk aren't giving me any clues as yet. Are you around the Seven Sisters road way now then?

Help me ID this Ghanaian music

You're right I should have called! Does anyone have any experience of African Music stores in London? I know there's one on New Cross Road, think it's called Daras African Sounds. I don't have any shame - I won't mind going in and bothering someone with a pair of earphones and a couple of dodgy...

Help me ID this Ghanaian music

I was in my car a few months back, fiddling around with the stereo and came across Hot 90fm, which I'm pretty sure is a Ghanaian music based station. I was listening for a while, the DJ was playing some nice stuff, then an absolutely amazing track came on - it sounds like a cliché but I did have...

    proto dubstep

There's a few by Disjecta from the mid90s that sound dubstep-like, particularly the track Here from Looking for Snags. It has a real eerie, halfsteppa vibe.

Ta-ta, although I can't wait for loads of microthreads about JME's hi-hat patterns, sightings of Wiley at Percy Ingle etc.

Desi/Bhangra - Potential Hardcore Continuum Mutation?

On a dubstep tip I thought Cyrus' 'Indian Stomp' used some Asian flavours very effectively, perhaps because they were fused within the rhythmic components alongside the musical ones.
