    Dogma 08 (for djs)

Agreed. To continue Chef's positivity (though not purely positive): As a promoter, do book dj's who are good, rather than djs who are utterly mediocore, whilst you are still booking them just because they are your friends.

    Dogma 08 (for djs)

I agree so much with this... True composition is lost in nowadays dance music. I mean, ofcourse it doesn't have to be like in classical or jazz for example, as dance music's nature is simple and repetitive, but it doesn't have to be SO repetitive and simple. At the end of the day, almost...

gremino - a mashup mashing up the mashup-mix

Ahh, there's no real mashups (expect the one acapella thing?). There was just a rule to name your mix with some catchy name, and I used the word 'mashup' because the set is eclectic :)

    Funky/London/UK House

I suggest adding Roska to your Myspace friend list, as he informs news at bulletin board/comments. Check out his myspace for a new EP. He's also playing a show at Manic fm on sundays 12-02pm.

    bankruptcy of 'nuum as concept

Before the debate starts wether 'Nuum is correct or not, I'd like to point out that this "Upfront UK Hardcore" (Scott Brown, Hixxy, Dougal & Gammer, Brisk...) is also part of the 'Nuum. Not in terms of culture/social things, but music yeah: hardcore > happy hardcore > trancey happy hc -> upfront...

    bankruptcy of 'nuum as concept

Yep. Gutter music is from young (or atleast mostly?) angry/depressed musicians. When you grow up things get (hopefully) better, so who wants to be unhappy for the rest of his/her life? Nobody!

    Dubstep

"although as he clarifies in the interview following the Rupture set, he is no longer excited by dubstep or grime and instead has been listening to instrumental hip hop from LA and percussive pirate music coming out of the house scene (’not straight 4/4′, though)." Kode9 going funky then eh? :)

    Music in dreams

Then there were a few dreams, where I had forgot a 2nd hand dnb CD compilation somewhere in my shelf, and then find it much later and go: "Aaah... how I have forgotten this. This is good stuff". That feeling that such a CD really existed was really strong... It was good stuff... Somehow ravey...

    Music in dreams

When I used to produce and listen to jungle regularly, I had two dreams with classic jungle breaks :) Very weird ones, as my dreams are usually... One had a car, which played amen loop when driving (the first bar), and when hitting the brake it played the crash sound of amen. I remember trying...

    Dubstep

ok... Not many bigger names writes uptempo or stuff which has clap instead of snare anymore.

GRIME- breaking news, gossip, slander, lies etc

Is there any changes to get ravey grime-instrumentals in mp3/cd-releases (as vinyl doesn't seem to be released much anymore in this genre...)?

    Dubstep unity?

But what about promoting your stuff? It can be harmfull to promote your experimental dubstep as dubstep, because some people might think it as the certain sound... Though ofcourse there's always the people knowing dubstep is a very diverse genre, but it can be hard to get new listeners around...

Direct me to broken-beat in London please

Isn't the characteristic of broken beat rhythm when snare hits a little bit sooner than in 2nd or 4th hit? Just like ukg/old dubstep-rhythm, but drum samples are from a whole break. Although broken beat hasn't as much drum hits and isn't as hectic as jungle, I still think bb tune can be...
