    Simon Reynolds

Ah, yes. I'd forgotten I'd written that. I stand by every word ;) I actually took a Stanley knife to the book, so that my copy is just pages 229-384 (plus the index). The rest did go in the bin.

It was a vent more than a serious proposal. Yes, Johnson belongs in jail. But obviously it is never going to happen.

    Simon Reynolds

I'm certainly a Reynolds fan (though not an uncritical one). The canon probably starts with Energy Flash, which is the book on dance culture - in my opinion anyway. Similarly, Rip It Up for post punk – to which Totally Wired (interviews) is definitely worth adding. I liked Retromania too...

China Miéville - October: The Story of the Russian Revolution. Which includes a glossary of key figures, saying who they were – and so many end with "executed under Stalin".

    Anti Virus Strategies

Since I work from home and don't go out very often, my life is much the same as before. Except that I've been doing very little work. I suppose I should get back to that really :slanted:

Psychic TV, Chris & Cosey, Coil were... not for me. TG on the other hand... :)

    Psychic TV

They were a rock band - or at least they were by the time they packed in. Listening to TG24, the early gigs they're experimenting with sound and noise. The later gigs they're just turning up and running through their repertoire of "songs", which get to be very boring very quickly.
