there's a certain drama to liz truss slowly going mad. a tragic element. the way she's doubled down rather than back off, the way she's looked for approval after being so publicly humbled. spending your whole life striving for the top, getting it and then having it ripped away immediately coz of your own hubris

First as farce, then as tragedy (albeit a fairly farcical kind of tragedy).

My favourite element of the whole thing was her claim that her plan to reinvigorate the economy with a huge raft of uncosted tax cuts would have worked if it hadn't been sabotaged by the conspiracy of Marxists that secretly run the Bank of England, LSE, and all international markets.

LSE was founded by Fabians, i.e. gradualist Marxists. Same outcome, different strategy.
