One thing I've heard said (I think it was Marina Hyde but I've only read it second or third hand) is that MPs are saying that appointing Pincher despite knowing what kind of man he was shows a complete lack of judgment on the part of BJ. Which is completely true of course - but is surely also completely and equally true of anyone who voted for Johnson to lead the party. The signs were all there, they were legion and they were clear and everyone knew full well that Johnson had no work ethic, paid no attention to detail and, most tellingly of all, completely lacked any kind of morality or integrity. And he has acted entirely as expected, in line with those signs everyone had seen... problems caused by his laziness and lies have dogged his leadership and likely will bring him down eventually.
