Exactly. It's hard for me to accept this.Seems to me that cheapness was somehow essential to grime's spirit in its golden era. The way it was made on fruity loops (and playstation?), the way it was played on pirate radio, the way it was filmed. That sort of DIY spirit. Of course, nowadays DIY can be really slick.
