Catch-up for me too:
Friday night we ate (mainly) courtesy of my mum and dad again. This was pork and bacon meatloaf, sliced thickly then fried, with lashings of gravy. (That was the mum and dad bit.) I did roast spuds - trademark mix of Maris Piper and sweet potatoes - with sea salt, dried herbs and fresh rosemary from the garden. Couple of other veg items on the side, heavily buttered. Hard to think of a less 'cool' dinner but by god, it was good. Couple of decent bottles of red helped too, of course.
Saturday we just had leftovers, and some more Three Kingdoms Pie yesterday.
This evening I made a pizza. Blend of three Italian and English cheeses, wild mushrooms (winter chanterelles, since you asked - same genus as Dan's death-trumpets), chorizo, black olives, capers and fresh cherry tomatoes. Pretty fucking good, though I say it myself.
