Mangalica pork with beans and various shenanigans.
Food in Budapest is pretty good, though I'm a bit lazy and tend to stick with the same place for my treat lunches - it's a Michelin Guide place in a slightly dodgy area. It never disappoints, and I always have fun imagining what such a meal would cost in London.
I made a hilariously silly Kolbasz pilaf the other day, with the remainder of my bag of frozen king prawns served on the side. Hungary meets India meets Spain was the vague idea.
(The yogurt is actually Tejfol aka Smetana - Hungarians eat a lot of it)
We were also in Chinatown the other day, it was strangely devoid of whitey. I'm not really a Dim sum expert, but my friend is and he reckoned they were better than anything he had had in London. This plate of baked ones was about £4.50, the steamed ones were less than £4.
