God in the pavements

Spotted this one in the lift at work. I was staring at it for a while but there was someone else in the lift so I didn't take a photo. Then went back in and rode the lift to another floor, to get the photo. When I came back out, the receptionist looked at me suspiciously.

I think I'm going to make a print of this one. It's a water stain on the ceiling, right above where I sit most days to have lunch

i def know the feeling of being looked at wierdly for taking a photo of something not obvious
bravely brazening it out is the only way, you wierdo

in fact i took a photo of some defacements at turnpike lane tube this very day, and got that look, but i shouldnt share here as it was a wall not a floor

Yeah always a problem when you are taking photos of the floor, that people think you are mad.

Good work catalog. Proud of you. But a ceiling is not a pavement.

I know, but its the best one! Look up and down. Actually its harder to look at ceilings than pavements in some ways. We look up at the sky quite a lot, but i dont think i look at ceilings much. I only spotted this one by accident. Lots of rule breaking going on going on in this thread rho i know. The orange peel is a found object which i was against really, cos it gets out of hand.

When I was a child lying on my back and looking at the ceiling was a psychedelic experience. Another world. Upside down world. The ceiling is a floor.

The paving stones in certain parts of Manchester are very special, he said.

They are a record of past, present and future. I tell you, there are prophecies here. Look down. There are landscapes, cityscapes, stories, histories. Look down. I've looked in other towns and cities, and it's not quite the same. These stones, listen to me, these stones are special. There is a street in fact, a small dead end, on the edge of Spinning fields, close to the Marks and Spencer, and this one street, it seems to tell me the future. I stood and looked, in the rain, and I saw it all.

I sorted them all and printed the ones I liked the other day. Nearly 100 images in total.

This one is actually a cobble, so it's tiny, like A5 in size. Amazing.

This one is rather special. I must have walked this particular stretch of pavement 1000s of times. But I've never looked at it properly. So I think the black specks are dried tar, and it's like they are falling from the sky, onto the hills

I have doubts as to the value of the area around the stone that is the focus. So far, I've cropped it out, but here it seems to be more important
