Woah. I saw that mentioned earlier and thought it was a weird parody.

Most commentators are saying if Truss wins, it's nailed on for him. I hope so but 2 years is a long time

Not specifically Starmer-related, but look everyone: an actual, positive reason to vote Labour!

(It's GBeebies, so 3/4 of the article is about Sunak vs Truss, but whatever.)

I have not seen such popular support for striking workers since the Ambulance strike in the late 80s. The RMT people are all over daytime TV absolutely ruling the situation - expressing what people feel in clear and passionate ways. Notably without pandering to any culture wars nonsense whatsoever.

As usual, the Labour Party is sitting on its hands. Same as the Poll Tax.

The party of Labour, is it? Absolute joke.

Labour is the enemy if you don't know that by now you should be shot

Seen a few people arguing Nandy joining the picket line was a cynical ploy on the leadership's part to retroactively justify their excuse for giving Tarry the boot. Wouldn't surprise me.

Also Sharon Graham's been talking up Unite potentially pulling their funding,

“There’s no point giving money to a party that is basically sticking two fingers up to workers. It’s almost like an abusive relationship. You are the voice of workers in Westminster; we are their voice on the ground. I think it’s a very difficult conversation and I think that members will decide.”

Why is that the price of a Labour leader who supports striking workers is that he also thinks it's fine to go on an Iranian-backed TV channel and be Russia's useful idiot, and that the price of a Labour leader who doesn't do that is that he doesn't support striking workers either?

Why can't this fucking party just get its fucking act together?

It is so weird how much energy the Labour party and the left in general waste in fighting each other while the shambolic pig fucking brexit fucking people fucking cunts of the Tory party slowly destroy the country opposed by nothing but their own venal incompetence.

Does it not bother them at all to be acting out these scenes - for real! - that were a horrendous cliche when they were joiked about in The Life of Brian a hundred years ago?

A few months ago I saw George Monbiot on Twitter say "The left needs to stop being so factional and obsessed with ideological purity", and of course got hundreds of replies saying "No, YOU'RE factional and obsessed with ideological purity!"
