I've been assuming they've decided it might be seen in poor taste to attack the tories too vigorously in the middle of all this, they'll be calling for inquiries once it's all over I imagine.
Yeah, I figured it was something like this. Seems pretty weak given it's an unprecedented crisis. I would thought they could've gone to town regarding the corruption in particular (Dido Harding etc)

The story might be that the guy's Israeli to that particular publication, but imo the actual story is that Labour are hiring people who worked cyberwarfare for intelligence agencies.
Also, I don't think it's that unbelievable that someone would advertise their employment with an agency like that. If that's your area of expertise then why wouldn't you? It isn't going to be viewed negatively by the people you're looking to be hired by and the people who do view it negatively are inconsequential.
I think it's mierepresentive. Uses selective quotation iirc but I'd have to look up some old threads.

Israel has military conscription so it seems fairly inevitable that if you hire Israelis they're going to have some with a military background.

If it isn't true and he didn't work for that unit then fair enough, but my feeling is we should take seriously that Labour may be hiring from military intelligence whilst acknowledging that some will try to spin it a certain way due to the particular military he allegedly worked for.
The response should be the same as if Labour were hiring from the CIA, FSB, GRU, NSA, GCHQ, MI5 or whoever else.

Just saying - it has a specific resonance for some sections of the Left 'cos it's Israel. That's the only reason we're discussing this. That's why the story was written and went viral. And it buys into longstanding tropes about Israel being behind the scenes, pulling the strings.
I get what you're saying but my sense from looking at the job description - he's monitoring social media. Maybe he did this in an unpleasant way in his former role, and spied on Palestinians and has blood all over hands. Maybe that's not true at all. I don't know if there's evidence either way beyond the connection with the military, which you can't avoid as an Israeli 'cos of the draft.
No one seems to actually know anything about the guy bar the tweet I linked to above.
