1st one nice I guess, nostalgic early 90s IDM vibes. But I don't rate Autechre that highly, really.

I always post this as response to Autechre fan-boying; in my view the best electronica act from the 90s (and is this case "live" even) :

used to have that - good stuff (even played it on a little pirate radio stint I did)
unfortunately sold it during one of my selling sprees

I've been listening to hours and hours of them, an obscene amount of Autechre. LP5, Untilted, the first three sections of Elseq, multiple live sets, Amber, L-Event, Quaristice, Envane, Chichlisuite, Gantz Graf, EP7. I can't stop.

they also do recent live stuff :

it's good but it's very hermetically Austrian. Autechre are much more afroasian, in the silk road/ottoman lineage.

Up to Elseq 5 now. Don't think I've listened to them all in one sitting before. Ears are burning at this point, but the show must go on.

As much as I liked them seeing the act with John Eden at the Rehberg Oto festival few years back, I’ve also seen them perform a big concert hall in Amsterdam for Sonic Acts early this year and it unfortunately felt very aged all of a sudden.
Though everything I’ve seen in that hall (Kassel Jaeger, KMRU & Aho Ssan) aside from a Sarah Davachi piece sucked purely because of the setting.

Parmegiani with bass bins.

Love how chunky and biomechanical the 2016/2018 stuff is. The 2015 batch of live gear's much more upfront, much more dry. This stuff sounds like deep sea lava flows and living metal.

But their latest stuff sound pretty new-ish, or is it just me who is out of touch?

Keep hearing the lead at 7:34 in my head. Think I actually woke up with it going today and was trying to remember which tune or release it was from.

Got this on atm. Shame there aren't more recordings from this era, especially since there's no EP around Untilted either.
