Ive had some interesting interactions with people like devilman or Killa p pulled into that crowd and just how surreal the whole dynamic is.

There is something very emo about the core of ukhh, though whiney , self-concious , using a metaphor and making sure everyone knows you were doing it because it

It's the music of inactivity. Wallowing. They talk about "educating" and "expanding minds" or whatever, but never actually do it. They just say that's what they want to do in amongst the stuff about "smoking herb" etc.

There's licence to 'express your pain' in rap music. Which once translated to north London/Bristol/Brighton becomes something a bit different. Angsty, depressed, dissatisfied

Not much to tell, it's just a weird dynamic when you mix a load of middle class roleplaying white kids with MCs past there sell by date

Why do we love to hear some people boast but not others? What does our irritation about someone boasting say about us?

You need either authenticity or a sense of humour. The people we like to hear boast can either back it up or are taking the piss. If you're deadly serious, but the audience doesn't buy it then it falls flat.

from what I can see Bbcc seem like theyre pretty much doing their thing without much bullshit, I'm sure they they will overplay it to oblivion as their popularity continues to increase. Devo was a pure act and glc and pitman was novelty comedy rap don't think it's the same.

It's been interesting to see what's happened with People Just Do Nothing. A couple of them were actual MCs and musicians and never really went anywhere, they did the pisstake in the show and now they get booked for raves and festivals and end up on BBC radio as the pisstake.
