If someone understands why they might need therapy, it will make said therapy more effective long term. Understanding yourself is the key, the bridge and why we use life mapping techniques. By understanding your past, you gain insight into your current state of being/mind.
By understanding the processes involved during therapy, which can be communicated in as many different ways as there are clients, you begin to forge new engagements with the world as the sessions progress. If a client understands rudimentary dialectics they can self care more effectively.
By becoming an archaeologist of your own psyche, with the support of a T, you trowel out the shit that’s getting in the way of an uncluttered life.
