I like the mystery of the older OPN gear. I like the later stuff too, but now it's just Dan Lopatin doing his new record on Warp with whichever set of collaborators he fancies using. Bit too slick and professional. There's a magic to the grainy sounds and clips.

i do think he chose a decent name, i found it amusing when i found out wher eit came from. it's always fixed in my mind with konx om pax cos there was some feature on him in the same thing i was reading, i was like; oneohtrix point never, konx om pax. right got you. this is how its going to be now. but konx om pax never made it.

Oneohtrix Point Never's a much better name than Konx Om Pax. Rolls off the tongue a bit more. The Crowley connection's kind of cool though. Dunno whether he engages with him beyond the name, mind you.
