This bataillw book has a description from mass on as to what the acephale is. The head goes down to the dick. The stomach becomes a coil. One hand holds a weapon, what's in the othef is not what I first supposed (a bomb) but rather a beating heart.

I was reading about the New French Extremity last night. I've seen Irreversible and bits of Martyrs and I think that's about enough for me. I was surprised how many of the directors were women, I'd assumed it would just be a load of sleazy Frenchmen that looked like Houellebecq and Luc Besson.
This is one of the best books ever written.
Some very good bits in this critical dictionary. The entry on architecture talks about how the form of the human face represents the midway point between monkeys and buildings. As we evolve, we'll look more like buildings.

I preferred that to La Bas I think, or at least it made a much stronger impression on me. All the stuff you lot are talking about above relating to that book just doesn't ring any bells for me at all, it seems the whole thing went in one ear and out the other.

i'm in marseille right now, everything's shut and the only thing to eat is a kebab, and at the kebab shop a passer-by asked the kebab shop guys where the hell to buy cigarettes, because everything is shut. it's 6pm on a sunday, it's the centre of the second largest city.
