I hear what you're saying about the police - it's good to have a healthy mistrust of them - but there may come a time when you need them. Once three of us got attacked inside Charing X station by this huge group of feral youth and the one of us not on acid ran off and called the police and me and my gf ended up in the back of a police car tripping our tit's off, it was our of the frying pan into the fire really. They said to my gf "They tried to steal your bag, what's in it?" and I was thinking if they look in there we got a real problem.

I've been mugged and had attempted muggings several times. Just assuming it will never happen is probably not a good strategy.
i appreciate that perspective and insight.... i will still never call them.... you bring up being on drugs and with drugs.... but you see with me, if i am ever on drugs or around drugs, i will be sure to be around people who also mistrust police, and i will again feel confident in my ability to escape the ops......

it is not an assumption about mugging, it is just a confidence in my ability to escape and avoid being robbed.... it just will never happen... they wont kill me, im also faster than who ever

even though kid is naive and that might get him into problems it will also bring him luck and happyness you know someone bad out there will single him out maybe but someone good will do so as well. if you walk like a robot in a suit yapping in your phone no good will ever approach you but if you dance around new york with a big smile like the kid somone might just ask you how late it is and if you have the time and from one thing comes another.
no one has ever asked the time lol... this is just a myth people make up who are afraid of cities

what other music you like besides Bob Dylan?

"Narrow interests, also known as restricted interests or special interests, are a common characteristic of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). They are intense, focused fascinations with specific topics, items, or activities."
this girl sent me an instagram post today that said "autistic by birth, bob dylan fan by the grace of god"..... ok

the ‘gold’ was brass

never jump in a car just because someone insists and you don’t want to offend a potential offender

unless it’s dogging and you double-bag up

by the way, this was some of the gold they gave me.... i snapped a pic of what they let me take into the atm.... they gave me chains, rings, a rolex.... and they all had numbers marked like "16k" on them to say that they were 16 karrot gold rings

Once I was just walking home with another gf and I heard a voice say "do yourself a favour blud don't get killed" and this guy on a kid's bike that he's obviously nicked has got a knife right against my throat, he grabbed gf's bag before we could react and rode off on this tiny bike with his knees up by his ears. Happened so quick there was nothing anyone could have done.

i dont believe this will ever happen to me in my life.... i texted some people about what was happening when i got to the atm and they kept telling me to call the police.... but in my life calling the police is always a hard no for me.... i will never call the police for myself, i am against it, i dont like or trust the police, and i believe in my own ability to get myself out of any trouble that the police could "help" me out of.... i also dont believe i will ever get "mugged" that will never happen.... if someone comes to me with a knife or gun theres no way theyd actually use it... im not giving them any of my belongings, ill just run away.... theres no way anyone on this board has been robbed or mugged

I shudder thinking of the times I jumped in cars with random people when I used to buy drugs in my teens. Nothing ever happened, but it was stupid. Getting out of school, ringing up a middle-aged man called 'Chemical Kev' and hopping in his van.
when i was about 16 my friend had to stop me from getting in a car to smoke weed with two obvious crackheads with a car full of stolen stereo equipment they were bringing to sell at the shop where we were trying to sell old games for weed money

thats a really good point yyyyaldrin. i learned to keep very closed and defensive body language since a childhood in the big bad city and as a result no one ever talks to me and nothing ever happens to me whereas naive moon children have lives which are one adventure after another
i havent spent much time in cities so it was kind of a shock when i was trying to find the place in philly where i was supposed to meet kid charlamagne and every person i approached to ask for directions immediately stopped in their tracks and looked super suspicious and uncomfortable

Last weekend, we went to a concert. There were a couple bonafide legends on the bill and lots of friends in the room, but it was really hard to connect. We ended up leaving early.

Most live music spaces (and some DJ-centric spaces) put music-makers on a stage. It's not that this can't work, it's just that it rarely does. It usually results in an audience standing or sitting uncomfortably with their backs to each other–hardly fertile ground to receive an artist's work. As a friend of a friend once said, "We need a new ritual."

Planetarium was born out of a deep desire for an alternative, a way of experiencing music that considers your comfort, artists' intentions, and the importance of gathering socially. We invite you to share a meal and stretch out with your pillows, blankets and mats expressly because we want you to be in the best state to experience music and each other.

We're announcing the full of season of Planetarium now, excited to grow what we do by inviting Carlos Niño, the International Anthem artist and André 3000 New Blue Sun collaborator; and Sarah Davachi, one of the most important electroacoustic musicians and composers alive. They are live performers whose music is perfect for our environment, but who don't often play in spaces like ours.

Chee Shimizu, a DJ and producer from Tokyo who has pioneered the deep listening movement in Japan will play the first two nights of the series this weekend with live performances from Chris Ryan Williams (only a few spots left for that), and Rena Anakwe, a longtime Planetarium collaborator and Eamon Harkin, Planetarium's co-founder, will join in April. Justin Carter will preside over all the sessions. More about each artist is down below and on each event listing.

You can reserve space for all the nights here. We ask that you only reserve honor system tickets if you need them and that you reserve at the supporter level if you are able. To ensure that more people have access, we ask that you reserve a maximum of one honor system space per night. It's okay to reserve two or more spots at the standard and supporter levels.

For the next twenty-four hours, no one is getting this information beyond the Planetarium list, so please do not post this info publicly. It's okay if you want to share the info directly with a friend; just make sure whoever you share it with will be okay with turning their phone off and not talking once the lights have gone down.

We're looking forward to getting lost in sound with you. Until then...

Big Love,

Team Planetarium
