but with football you get to see romanians head to head with brazilians. doughty brits grappling with sexy spaniards. little tiny spanish men runing rings around pasty northern europeans. fascist italians giving fascist salutes. its amazing. basketball is a very low intensity sport not even the players care if they win or lose. theyre just having a run around. spanish midgets doing intricate passing patterns. spanish dwarfs. brazilian samba dancers doing circus tricks. dead eyed romanians. argentinian coke heads. french algerians doing head butts. its a collision of cultures.

I've been trying so hard to pretend that's not true, but unfortunately it is... I've only just grasped that more people care about Crystal Palace v Villa than about the cowboys, lakers, mavs, mets games put together.

I'm not at all saying that NFL is a bad sport but it's a hard sell cos it ain't immediate, I don't see it ever taking off worldwide cos they advertise it on the razzmatazz but the reality of it is the tactics and if you're not brought up with that it seems so dull.

Baseball just is shit.

So that leaves basketball and ice hockey- and Canada and Russia are better at ice hockey... so basketball is the great white hope to compete with football... it's a hundred to one shot let's see what happens

Why the hell won’t the NBA investigate the Mavs GM who is best friends with the Lakers GM and idolizes Lakers players and loves Lakers culture and practically gifted the Lakers a generational talent? Where’s that investigation?

But didn't they send another world class player the other way? Wonder how he feels about that statement.

Anthony Davis is one of the best in the league, yes, top 15 prob top 10, but he’s over 30 and doesn’t have the greatest injury history. In fact, he won’t even play another game this season, so the mavs went from a finals contender, to in contention for the first pick in the draft
