I've just played through Final Fight. Nice eighties iconography. Action films of course but also pro wrestling and hair metal. Set against the obligatory backdrop of urban decay. Graffitied subway trains etc

Apparently the script was brilliant and much darker, but once Cruise came onboard the studio wanted a change of direction and it ended up being a jumble of some of the original elements to do with money, celebrity and whatnot and Cruise doing his thing and getting the girl at the end.
