We had a bad experience with an ice cream place last summer actually, because of the leave-on-the-doorstep policy. The guy was bringing round a luxury sundae for me - three flavours of ice cream topper with chocolate and sprinkles and jelly, I could die in bliss just thinking about it - except he left it on steps of the flat. As in, didn't press the buzzer or come into the communal area and leave it outside our door. He just sat in the street. We waited half an hour before phoning and when we realised what had happened it was unreal - such an obvious failing of the concept of home delivery. I realise I probably sound like one of those Karen videos but I've never had an experience like that before and it seems so obvious that as a driver that's not what you do?

I don't think I actually like eating at all tbh. It may just be that I eat terrible food, but I don't think I really enjoy eating anything. I hate getting food on my hands, stuff stuck in my teeth etc and the feeling of having eaten isn't great. I just feel lethargic and a bit heavier after a meal.

That being said, this may all be coloured by the fact I ate a horrible pizza earlier and I'm still suffering for it.

it's jarring to go outside and see as many amazon delivery workers, deliveroos and uber drivers as pedestrians. (I almost typed "as many delivery workers as people")

Most of mine don't even have bags or a uniform. You can only tell its them because theyre pacing back and forth with a to go bag in their hand looking at buildings. Often times they'll have a family member in the car. The other day my driver had his mom in the car
