Yeah unless they were exaggerating or lying, this looks like the best GAN I've seen by far, unless its a different type of neural network entirely.

also a bunch of other stuff I was feeding back into some super resolution colab notebook, it gives funny artifacts if you downscale then upscale it with the gan, feeding it back
ended up with a really nice photo of me and a couple of southeast london lads
this was scaled down then fed into the gan, downscaled again to like 100px and fed back, here's the result

what I have been thinking about quite a lot recently is a kind of fractal infinite feedback you could do quite easily, ie. train a gan on a dataset of flowers, then downscale a photo of a single flower and feed it into the network, resulting in a flower made out of flowers, rinse and repeat
