That Jansen song fits into a thought I had that whatever genres outside the fold of whatever is the 'top' genre at the moment gradually descend into sounding like contemporary christian music. anything that isnt hip hop or hip hop affiliatted now sounds like worship music.

I have this insane motivated friend, incapable of resting/having fun/completely outside all culture, that actually made thousands of dollars doing one of those book selling scams they try to pull on college freshman. She was in rural Minnesota and Mississippi all summer for 4 years selling homeschooling materials door to door and converted to Christianity because the christian contemporary music station was the only thing that could keep her going while driving along out there in the boonies
