can you point me towards where he was writing lore outside of the stories please? i'd like to see it. i've read the stories but didnt know about the other stuff. 'lore' as such comes into its own with table top gaming where youre not telling stories as much as creating an environment for stories to happen, or setting the parameters for imaginative play

Robert E. Howard wrote "The Hyborian Age" in the 1930s which was an attempt to set out the history of the Conan and Kull universe - pulp but could be considered as "lore"

i'm sure you are very nice and share freely @WashYourHands but what @luka is describing is I'd argue reflected in those stupid and lame rituals pass to the left hand side, all that bollocks,

more than one weed person has told me that they have to have weed around, all the time, not so they smoke all the time but so that there is a posssibility of having a smoke all the time.

I can't tell if you're trolling or being stupid on purpose woops! Puff-puff-pass is not a "stupid and lame" ritual, and whenever I go to Europe and see filthy European stoner hobbits breaking it, I am appropriately disgusted by their lack of civility

It's depressing how narrow fantasy worlds are still. The whole thing is just Tolkien and Merlin endlessly recycled. Tens of thousands of fantasy writers and no one can come up with new races of humanoids that anyone finds compelling.
