I think the only good thing that came out of this all (well, it didn't come out of it directly, but rather a lot of parallels could be drawn) is probably the hard drum music that had its uk warehouse moment in london (oh well) and shanghai, too, probably, I don't think svbkvlt do that stuff anymore as much but I recall a djette friend showing me an eli osheyack tune and saying how much she likes the sound design on it.
what is interesting though is it cannot be plain and crisp electronics, you need a bit of brass or sampled acoustic drum
third might hate svbkvlt for their recent maqsum jungle release (and I do think they used to be more interesting a few years back, or maybe so much ahead of time) but this captures the atmosphere well imo:

if you've ever been to a club you can clearly tell this is a tense tune but most of it is not exactly danceable (unless you have some contemp dancing skillz, that is, it's one of those moments on the dancefloor surely)
