Do you say that?

I don't like cops much, haven't had many pleasant interactions with one. They seem like annoying people, always the flaunting of authority, the needlessly assertive mannerisms. And of course they do horrible things. And if we were to psychologize these people I wouldn't necessarily have much intuition of noble motives behind their career choice.

But you still have to give them something don't you? They are there after all. They do have do deal with all kinds of things and I suppose the worst of it is the constant lingering fear that things might suddenly turn ugly, that someone pulls a knife, a gun. I have no doubt that that does things to people, when you have to live in that state for long periods of time.

when I was burgled a few years ago, I was certain the items were being listed on Ebay - a local seller, cash and collect only, a picture that looked suspiciously like my stuff was in it. When I went to the police station to ask what could be the next move, the officer asked me, "what's Ebay? I've never heard of it" and I knew then I was never getting my stuff back. I miss my old laptop, ACAB

Thirdform has said ACAB but maybe finds is a bit cringe now. Corpsey might say ACAB. Mr Tea is very against saying ACAB.

The only thing I can't excuse is this bit where people go "You have to understand that when we say ACAB we don't actually mean that every cop is a bad person..." Those are the people we need to curb stomp.

Plenty of horrible, corrupt cops, systemic in some cases well beyond the "bad apple" theory. At the same time, you never read an article or see a tweet about a cop who just does their normal job in a satisfactory manner. Because why would you, it's not news. All we see are bad stories, since that's what sells/gets clicks.

I think at this point you have to be deranged to want to be a cop. Even if you are the type that beleives the talk around cops to be sensationalized and you hold the most romantic beliefs about the position with the most noble desires you are still voluntarily stepping into a spot that is so radioactive in the culture I dont think any well adjusted person would choose to put themselves through that.

@luka can you confirm All Teas Are Cops, or its injective inverse, All Cops Are Teas?
Made me think of:
And what does the voice say? Always the same two words. Am I? Over and over, first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Until the words mean more than their meaning. Until they are the sound of the sun setting and the sound of the moon when the sky is black. Am I Am I Am I? Until it becomes the opposite: I Am I Am I Am. When repeated long enough, she understands at last, a question answers itself.

I would like to point out that the one and only time I've been in luka's flat, I was there with woops and we all smoked DMT.
