They have a choice whether to authorise their use before the election or after but they'll pick before because any disruption to the election is a feature not a bug.

Supposedly going to war shores up support for the incumbent, but this is an unusual situation because the decision to start World War 3 is clearly solely a Democrat one, with Trump having spoken out against the Military Industrial Complex and very few Americans that bothered about Ukraine's novel expansionist plans (which are so obviously poorly disguised American expansionist plans).

Lobbing a few missiles at each other way over there in Russia won't be enough to institute a state of emergency but getting suffering a major hit to a big city may well be. So I think they will want that to happen.

It's the sort of performance that caused Biden to drop out but Trump won't do that unless he actually does die - maybe not even then. I have to say he has remarkable tenacity. He just keeps on flying around doing these rallies and interviews. I actually feel tired thinking about his schedule and the preparation each time; someone putting his nappy on and then the big suit over it, blowing enough adderall up his nose so he can stand up... and performing for hours at a time. It really is pretty mad. Plus court appearances etc not surprising it's taking its toll really.

The thing is people kept saying that when he was perfectly lucid so I kinda disregarded it until I actually saw him in action and realised they were telling the truth for once... classic boy who cried wolf.

Trump is as bad though. A good night's sleep won't stop his insane meandering, break his adderall addiction or solve his incontinence. Sad fact of life, there's a point from which you can't come back and Trump passed it a while back. Yet still he must persist or go to jail.
