"hip hop is full of people who hate gay men and misogyny" still reads to me as wildly racist and broadly inaccurate, especially given that it was unsolicited and the only other thing described as needing purification was "the internet".

The fact that it was unsolicited doesn't matter. I brought up hip hop because it's one of the culture I know best. If you don't understand the ways hip hop has been homophobic and phallic throughout its history, you probably don't know the history. How about you post a single pro-gay hip hop song that isn't by Macklemore?

I don't need to post any tracks. I don't need to prove to you I'm a part of hip hop. Hip hop is something I grew up with.

i want everyone to imagine malelesbian saying this but he's wearing blackface
You're more interested in insulting me than you are interested in feminism. Admit it.

Saying that feminine people don't face marginalization is just ignoring the fact that mainstream society marginalizes femininity. Saying that feminine men are just "wearing blackface" just reinforces traditional gender stereotypes that tell us men need to act masculine.

Never once have I pretended to be black. I am white person who contributes to hip hop. If you claim that white contributors to hip hop are just trying to act black, then you don't understand hip hop, and you're the racist.

have you heard of Frank Ocean. have you heard of Tyler the Creator. This whole take is so comically out of touch that I assume it's bait so the goalposts can be moved when I fulfill the request. This would be a good premise for an entire thread, frankly.

I wonder what's been on top of the Hip Hop charts lately, let's see…

Let's take a glance into the lyrics on some of these:
Pockets stay on swole, peep the motherfucking cash flow
Niggas pay my loans just to finger fuck my asshole
Keep it cool with cunts, rocking boots with the tassels
Fucking with some nigga who dick longer than Castro's

Unlike Mr. "malelesbian", I'm not a poser. I actually suck dick.

Good examples, but a few queer artists in the past few years doesn't correct decades of homophobia. Hip hop still has a ton of work to do.

And look at the female rappers today. They're phallic as hell. Phallic themes of greed and objectification have been part of hip hop for decades, and they remain a part of it. I'm not saying there have never been feminist rappers. But the culture is dominated by messages of self-interest.

Also, the lyrics you posted are as phallic and objectifying as ever. He's literally talking about whoring himself out. That's your idea of pro-gay, anti-phallic progressive lyrics in hip hop? Hilarious.

Here's a question for you: have any of the queer artists you listed become more popular than Tribe Called Quest. Clearly not. And look what the Tribe have to say about gays:

Another question: can you give any example of lyrics by queer artists that are anti-phallic, or at least talk about real issues queers face, like abandonment by their families, discrimination and hate crimes?

here it is lol

The heterosexual gay police has logged on... here to tell everyone that gay people shouldn't be phallic.

Keep in mind that the lyrics being referred to are coming from the Cakes track, which would be obvious to anyone who has heard this platinum #1 single, or to anyone who listened to either of them.

Again, nothing wrong with being phallic as long as you don't block out non-phallic culture. Gay people can be phallic all they want, but a man talking about whoring himself out supports the worst tendencies in phallic culture. Just talking about how big your man's dick is counts as good represention of queers to you? I guess you support sexual objectification as long as gays are doing it?

The question is, where is there non-phallic culture in hip hop? I can think of some examples, but I know you can't.

how is this man still claiming to be a progressive, left-wing gender expert

I guess you support sexual objectification as long as gays are doing it?
I support objectifying everyone equally.

Frank Ocean and Tyler the Creator are both unambiguously bigger. Brockhampton is a possible contender too, but it's hard to be precise.

How in the world does that make any sense? Because I do one thing that isn't feminine I'm no longer feminine or a feminist?

no, because you demand hip hop artist represent feminin culture, whilst claiming to be a hip hop mc and not doing this yourself. but we've established you're not real.
