Recently, however, the interior of the barrio has been changing, with the addition of craft beer bars and funky international joints. Here, you’ll find century-old shops sitting next to Irish pubs and quirky souvenir outlets.

Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is filled with cool neighbourhoods – think hidden art galleries, cocktail bars, designer boutiques and hipster hangouts. Whether you’re looking for a stay in bohemian Gràcia, hip El Born, trendy Poblenou, edgy Raval, or somewhere else,

I didn't really see much of that when I went, it was probably just starting to get trendy. It was still a fairly normal barrio. Same old story.

great places to eat in Barcelona, which range from trendy doughnut shops – the kind you might expect to find in New York – to craft beer bars.

Authentic American burgers and friendly American service you won't find anywhere else in Barcelona. Big Al's offers dozens of big, juicy burgers made from freshly-ground, locally-sourced beef served on just-baked brioche buns. We also serve vegan and vegetarian burgers, homemade American desserts, and great starters like pulled pork nachos, our famous OMG chicken wings, and a salad (if you insist). We're also big on beer! We have 12 rotating taps of locally-produced craft beer and our friendly staff will be glad to make suggestions for pairing with the burger of your choice.
