Definitely Maybe's sound is quite MBV I agree, everything swirling together, psychedelic in its own way
no, this is psychedelic

I like oasis as is well documented (although probably not as much as my enemies think I do) but this is good from blissblogga: "the spirit animating it being not Ecstasy-induced/aligned alchemical-and-androgynous, but more boozy-woozy and bleary-beery, a ladsy-sudsy blether of all-together-now emotion...
Ladsy sudsy lol
Ladsy sudsy lol
Brought into severe focus how hard it has become to give an Lp the time it warrants though?I was shocked when the third album finally appeared twenty years or so later and it was actually decent and they'd picked up more or less exactly where they'd left off.
And the roll out was like 3 days. Just a 'hey this comes out on Friday'I was shocked when the third album finally appeared twenty years or so later and it was actually decent and they'd picked up more or less exactly where they'd left off.
Since this is the most recent MBV thread, I just thought I'd say I was wondering about this again:
that vapourspace tune is one of the few sorta trancey tracks I liked back in the day
And ya I liked that album, was the logical extension of loveless with a bit of a 90's Muzak, corporate office HR video music, vaporwave thing going on
It uses the same sort of 90's office kitsch that vaporwave leans heavily on. Listen to new you, it feels vaporeavey to me. Stoned and slow and syrupywhere are you hearing vaporwave at all in the 2013 valentines record? the track that kind of sounds like earwig?? the track that kind of sounds like stereolab??
