obviously taylor parks is right but he will be shot for his mates expunging the overtones of the blues from rock music when we come to power. Thank god for acid house

bandz ahoy
I like oasis as is well documented (although probably not as much as my enemies think I do) but this is good from blissblogga: "the spirit animating it being not Ecstasy-induced/aligned alchemical-and-androgynous, but more boozy-woozy and bleary-beery, a ladsy-sudsy blether of all-together-now emotion...

Ladsy sudsy lol

you only like them to fit in. in reality your tastes are much more highbrow than the tory crossdresser benita bunter and his antiquated rockism and catching up to tech house in 2014 when it was invented in 1994. don't disgrace yourself like this, I have full confidence in you! evangelise about scarlatti here!

if @luka keeps being an undisciplined pervert and constantly seeking ego death in booze oblivion i will spam every single Oasis thread with loads of acid techno.

I was shocked when the third album finally appeared twenty years or so later and it was actually decent and they'd picked up more or less exactly where they'd left off.

Brought into severe focus how hard it has become to give an Lp the time it warrants though?

Since this is the most recent MBV thread, I just thought I'd say I was wondering about this again:

that vapourspace tune is one of the few sorta trancey tracks I liked back in the day

And the roll out was like 3 days. Just a 'hey this comes out on Friday'

when you have that feeling of a clear connection between tracks it's one of the purest feelings you can experience when listening to music. Like you can feel its onset...i love it. happened to me yesterday listening to something on 'The Plateaux of Mirror' ...i KNOW there's a Luke Slater one that had to be made in homage. Even if this didn't happen it did happen.

And ya I liked that album, was the logical extension of loveless with a bit of a 90's Muzak, corporate office HR video music, vaporwave thing going on

where are you hearing vaporwave at all in the 2013 valentines record? the track that kind of sounds like earwig?? the track that kind of sounds like stereolab??

It uses the same sort of 90's office kitsch that vaporwave leans heavily on. Listen to new you, it feels vaporeavey to me. Stoned and slow and syrupy
