Just checked blissblog for the first time in ages to see if he had any tips, but he seems to be be too depressed by trump getting in to muster up any energy unfortunately

I thought the idea was that "hard times" create more space for creative endeavor? So come 2025 we will have "a new genre a month" like it was '92 again?

I do think this has either been a dreadful year for music or a dreadful year for my ability to appreciate it.

OTOH I've been absolutely rinsing the old pirate radio classics such as Bach's Cello Suites and Scarlatti's keyboard sonatas. So perhaps there's hope for the underground yet.

Have you enjoyed any TV, film, books or articles from this year?

I feel like I must have seen some good TV this year but I can't remember any of it-- I think the new series of Wolf Hall is really good.

I don't read contemporary books, really, not out of wilfulness so much as I'm unaware of anything I "should" be reading.

FILMS (some of these are probably 2023 releases but I saw them this year and class them as new)

The Boy and The Heron ***1/2
Poor Things ****
Perfect Days ****
Dune 2 ****1/2 (could be a 5 if I'm stoned and in a cinema)
Challengers ****
Inside Out 2 ****
Anatomy of a Fall *****
Hayao Miyizake and the Heron ****

I watched about an hour of Puss In Boots: The Last Wish which had got a lot of hype but I found it very unfunny and tedious
