it’s just funny how common that dynamic is, where someone will do something most people couldn’t or wouldn’t, but then make some, you’d think, easily avoidable mistake. you get it a lot in sports, where an athlete operating at the highest level will make some decision every casual at home on their couch can see is wrong. is it that, on some level, they want out of the situation? did luigi sort of want to be recognized for what he did? or is it some kind of character-balance thing, where the flipside of the hidden personality aspect that lets them do something exceptional blinds them to something obvious?he was pretty close to escaping and getting away with it tho,no? like that is the whole basis for my thinking and this thread
