never had problems reading either of them - i always thought that my dumb ass would get picked on for their writing before they did!

conversely.... geordie greep the new sound a record ive liked... in my opinion has a great cover.... it makes me think tho.... is an unconcious essential to a record cover an image that looks "cool" that can be seperated from the music?.... for example.... the merch at his concert is just this painting.... his name and the album name is nowhere on the shirt.... so when you see the shirt.... u may not even know its an album cover.... i dont know i feel like thats a secret key to making an album cover.... an image that is universally aesthetic.....

That is a good cover you're right - I can't stomach the record though

What is he trying to do? Sort of reminds me of August Darnell with a bit of Bobby Caldwell in there. I'm guessing he's a fan of Mike Patton.

The computer and all the modern generative bells and whistles have allowed for a lot of half heartedness to proliferate. Its all over the place, from album art to fashion to car design and architecture. The lack of physical hand involvement is what's missing imo, in combination with the taking time to mindfully put together something truly representative of what's being offered. The perfected geometry of everything removes the human feel. All of those above make me feel precisely nothing at all.
Every stroke of an artist's brush is meant to be mindfully done, so a complete work of art can comprise thousands of conscious and unconscious decisions.

That said, I you ask AI do something 'in the style of' a master, it can come up with something good if you scrunch your eyes.

Some bands use stock images for their artwork. I saw an album with the same cover as an encyclopedia of mine, and it wasn't the album of the encyclopedia.
