I didn't think Skepta really added much to that set to be honest.

Who in the FUCK was that Fangol guy from Notts who popped up though?! He was the highlight of the whole thing for me. He got around four reloads in a minute until Skepta had to pull him off the mic to prevent him from getting reloads into infinite.

"My mans buying bottles of Mo', your man try bringing in bottles of beer"
"Your mans putting in for a cab like say you're tryna pay limousine fare"
"I'm a badman you're just a willy in here/ I ain't letting no girl wear my rolex/ so you better hope William's here"

I really hope this guy doesn't fade back into obscurity because he lit that whole set up.

a new grime night?!!!

saaaaaaaaaaaaaaafe.

(metropolitan police, if you're reading this, please, just leave it....)

fucking great news! out to the rhythm factory people. the met tried to scare them last time and they just had none of it. 'you do know what kind of crowd this music attracts?,' they said. 'yes, we said - it's a really nice crowd'. -transcribing/paraphrasing from memory there..

I've never seen or had any trouble at any of the Dirty Canvas nights I went to at the Rhythm Factory. Always a very good atmosphere.

Griminal and Tempz on the same stage will be interesting.

mistersloane

heavy heavy monster sound
The Wiley Westwood thing up to 5:45 and the Trim car thing from Grime Daily are my most listened to things this year.

I don't know whether to cry or give thanks that the best things, for me, that have come out have been 'live', as opposed to 'in the studio', but it certainly says something, for me.

I think when Wiley comes back in, after the 'yo, pull that back Tim' after 2:39 is maybe one of the best things I've ever heard. When he says at 5:07 '....you can't roll on your own in the dark...Yes, who am I? I'm the best, in England, north, south, east and west', it's just unimpeachable. Unimpeachable.
