It's a nice idea that it came from there but I don't think it's true.

I quite like it as an insult. It's like "I'm a stupid monotheist and you're not". Came from either the Christians or the Muslims I guess, or both. Either way, anyone who says it just reveals themselves to be a moron.

There's a tagger round the East End who tags 'pagan' which I really like too.
