Well, of course. But it beggars belief that anyone could actually take it for an genuine alien transmission.

mms: Thanks! I read about that incedent years ago, and I've always wanted to hear the actual recording. Didn't somebody eventually own up to it?
Here's another classic example of TV piracy:

I so badly wanted to hijack TV as a kid.![]()
What the twat is this thread even doing in the 'Nature' section, anyway?
Swears - this is great. I was looking for an example of 80s TV piracy for my book - thanks for pointing this out.
Haha, yeah, spot on!i bet who ever made that thing is into 90s drum'n'bass.
Sounds about right - interstellar distances are just *so* vast, it seems pretty unlikely even a civillisation much more advance than ours would ever get round to it, even assuming it lasts that long.just finished listening to the Teaching Company's "Search for Intellegent Life". some subjective short sightedness excepted, it was for the most part pretty good. gets into the science of our galaxy, conditions for life on planets, space travel, etc. and makes a pretty good case for 1. why there HAS to be intellgent life out there and 2. why UFOS are crap.
This is pretty cool, whatever it is. These might be some of the clearest UFO pictures ever taken:

I for one, welcome our new tea-strainer shaped dark overlords...
Also - the same thing was seen here:
What is this thing?
And yeah, the flying tea strainer is basically visual drum and bass.
Ooh, I like this idea! And yeah, the flying tea strainer is basically visual drum and bass.
What would other types of music look like expressed as UFOs?
What about Hadouken?
