wu tang one of most important artists for me . especially in high school. vividly remember listening to 36 chambers on my bus ride home from school. i was always misundersttood. they called me an old head for only listening to biggie nas wu tang and outkast.

You know how all "real hip hop" is embarrassing and boring nowadays it's all sluggish fifth rate premier knock off

Now listen to this

Nahmean son

How do you rank the classics? I'd go:

Cuban linx
36 chambers
Liquid swords
Tical
Ironman
The dirty version

Yep, that seems about right, doubt anyone would disagree. Never really listened much to any of the others though.

Always had it in mind to give give wu tang forever a proper go but I'm too old now, the moments passed. If I'm gonna listen to to Wu tang it's gonna be one of those 6

Never even heard Tical

Liquid Swords never clicked for me like that

I basically love 36 chambers, Cuban linx and supreme clientele

Triumph too ofc, maybe the first Wu tang I heard

Feel like rappers are so boring now

Even ppl like young thug, amazing weird melodies etc but no sense of a hidden world opening up to you

New York drill was the last thing I got into and none of the rappers had the character of a ghost face killah

RZA’s my favorite. Raekwon, GZA and Ghost tied for second place. But for me he’s not just the producer, his verses, cadence, word choice and accent just do it for me.

One of his coldest @ 1:51

Love his opener on this track too
