these beats still seem so unique, i'm guessing at the time nobody outside the wu tang tried making beats like this in case of being thrown down a stairwell

That was always my favourite, too. Definitely prefer OB4CL (prefer both Rae and Ghost to GZA as a rapper for one thing and OB4CL has better production i reckon), but Liquid Swords is really great too.

Something really sad about a lot of Wu-Tang beats for me. Very cold, lonely pieces of music, even something more bombastic like Heaterz off Wu-Tang Forever has this bittersweetness to it.
