So we now have 4 really good wingers (only 2 of whom have a long record of knackerage), which I reckon makes us officially the most exciting team on earth.

Brighton & Hove Albion have signed former Spain and Valencia winger Vicente Rodriguez on a one-year deal.
The 30-year-old, who has won 38 caps, was a free agent after being released by his hometown club this summer.
Albion boss Gus Poyet told the club website: "Vicente is the special player we wanted. He has great qualities and can play in a range of positions.
"He has always attracted great interest from top clubs across Europe so this is a major coup to bring him to the Amex."
The Uruguayan added: "He also brings great experience, having played at the top level for the last 10 years with Valencia, including the Champions League, Uefa Cup and international football with Spain.
"I am sure the supporters will have seen him in action and will be very excited by the prospect of seeing him in a Brighton shirt."
Vicente began his career at Levante in 1997 before joining Valencia in 2000, making over 300 appearances during his 11-year spell with Los Che.

Nice one on the Vicente transfer, Gus Poyet is a don so I hope yous do well. I reckon Adebayor is a decent player but he's such a tit that I wouldn't say that he's worth signing. Spurs could have done better

I feel sick, what a shambles. Passing to each other in our six yard box

We're still in it, just
Given is still the best keeper in the world thank christ

I think the phrase is "we'll take the win".

Indeed. Two pretty boring games, tbh. Qualifiers are either boring or end in defeats. Anyway, should qualify from here. The wall charts, the endless merchandising, the groundless optimism, the early flight home.

Darned cockwombles.
I was passing through Baker Street at about 730 and the atmosphere was a bit nasty....loads of people going to miss kick off, tubes unbelievably packed, tempers fraying, loads of people saying it should've been held in Cardiff cos transport to Wembley is shit....

For all that, he still had a great game today. Scored a fine goal and made one run which ripped through United's centrebacks. If I were a Chelsea fine, I'd be a lot more confident about Torres' future there than I was a week ago.

Looking on the bright side for Chelsea...

-Torres had a good game (apart from THAT MISS) and scored a good goal

-Man U looked vulnerable/were on the back foot for quite a lot of the game

-Rooney missed a penalty and fell on his fat arse

Good goal from Torres - that should have definitely built up his fragile confidence, shame to follow it with the worst miss since Ronnie Rosenthal.
