Ah ok, can't say i'm sad to see it leave there, i can't think of any obvious barrier to slotting it in to Plastic People one Thursday a month, that would be immense.

the thing with beyond is that all the big name funky djs get tonnes and tonnes of bookings already. so it's never gonna be the new fwd (which seems like what some ppl are hoping)

Swear that's my favourite word of 08. Should have known BBK would jump on board like with everything else.

thing is, BBK have been on this pan-genre, entertainer tip in Napa since at least '06, taking on Heartless at their own game. Skepta broke "Request Request Line" and Maximum broke "Night." They've been mixing funky, grime, old school, dubstep and bassline to the holiday crowd for several summers.

An JME's "Tropical" mixtape was about two years ago now too...

oh and bigup grimetapes tho, sending for it is waste.

Nah I know. I think my real issue is more with Skepta's recent output in truth, comment just seems a bit out of order with a bit of sleep and hindsight.

But, in my head I can't forgive Rolex Sweep, "Sunglasses.." etc, just feels like cynical mainstream pandering. Even moreso than the homogenised pop of She's Glowing.

Sorry to derail anyway. On topic, what's that tune on the D-Malice/HHB that leads out of African Warrior?
It's fucked.

heard another new donae'o track on scholar T on monday night. . .

i get the feeling he's not thought of too fondly these days, mainly for his vocal ability I guess, but my god. . . (African Warrior aside. . ) does he know a hook. and a beat.

interesting. now it's not listed anymore. what was the exact title?

i searched it earlier and found a blog with the tracklists for all 4 discs. everything form osulande and ferrer to tadow and hard house banton. i can't see how it's not a bootleg.
