For sure! or, failing that... all the same! LOL
192 & above is cool as far as I'm concerned. I don't expect em to be on a par with juno/beatport - economies of scale & all that still apply, to an extent, in the ecommerce world, but I'm not really about payin for 160s with 'encodeing settings - Logic 7.2.3' in the tags.
Its such a mixed bag buyin mp3s from indies, one well known Club label sells 192 vinyl rips from its site, often with peaks around -6db, or lower. I've had tunes with the left side half the volume of the right etc.etc.
I'll keep buyin em tho... but I'm not one to suffer in silence!
See, I know its hard, or next to impossible now, for labels to sign up to beatport. But with Roska & Tribal Audio on Juno it can't be that hard can it? I understand there is some resistance to the legit download thing, cos of the perception it'll make it easier for people to fileshare your stuff, but, anything with any kind of intrest gets ripped from 12" quick smart anyway. The idea that it being on 12" makes it harder for kids to share is abit daft I think, but, I can see the attraction of having your own site with paypal P goin direct to you. Still, gotta be easier dealing with Juno than dealing with me... maybe not.
This is very true. Juno gotta have stats as to how many tunes they sell via 'people who bought this also bought' links, be interesting reading for label guys.

nomos said:the more tracks there are in one place from different labels, the more people you're likely to have buying your stuff.
